Summer Campers Learn The Ropes

Summer Camp Counselor

A Camp Counselor will provide mature, creative and energetic leadership to the Cathedral Ridge Summer Camp programs. During Youth Camps, a Camp Counselor will be responsible for the overall safety and well-being of all campers, oversee daily cabin routines, and assist program staff in implementing camp activities.  During Family Camps, the counselor will provide leadership for outdoor activities, games and crafts, participate in worship gatherings, and guide small group reflections.  In all camps, a camp counselor serves as an example for campers, modeling appropriate behavior and cultivating a positive camp culture that connects and forms campers of all ages in their Christian faith.

Do you know a 16-18 year old who loves camp and would enjoy learning to lead? Cathedral Ridge is offering a counselor-in-training program for teens to explore the fundamentals of youth and children’s ministry. CIT’s will work closely with adult counselors preparing activities, leading songs, and assisting with cabin time as well as helping in the kitchen.
